Omnibus Networking

Ambeent is leveraging a vehicle as a data carrier
for worldwide digital inclusion as well as for a scalable and distributed computation and storage.

The OMNIBUS solution rests on developing two predictive models: (i) to learn timing and direction of vehicular movements to ascertain routing and computational capacity for a given locale, and (ii) to introduce a theoretical framework for sequential to parallel conversion in learning, optimisation and caching under contingent circumstances due to vehicles in motion.

The Internet is an indispensable part of our daily economic and social life. Yet,  today  less than half of the world has Internet access.

This means more than 3.9 billion remain offline.
Solutions to address lack of connectivity in rural areas, especially in developing countries, are limited. Mobile and broadband infrastructure is costly and takes time to build.

Internet giants spend billions of dollars on low orbit satellites, balloons and drone technologies for low cost coverage to bring internet to the next billion.

What if we told you that every corner of the earth  where a moving vehicle can travel, so can Internet.

With Ambeent’s Omnibus App,  a designated person in a given vicinity, for instance a village, will act as a hotspot for the entire community. Any user can connect to this hotspot to send messages to any other user in the village.

Then messages are delivered outside the village by Ambeent App users in a moving vehicle. Ambeent’s Omnibus Networking Technology uses novel methods and provides incentives for the delivery of messages between two users via third-party users.

The third party, in this case  the Ambeent App of the user in the vehicle, captures and securely stores outbound messages of App users in the village. These message are transmitted to the end user  via Ambeent’s Cloud when the user in the moving vehicle connects to the Internet.

Based on  learned mobility patterns, Ambeent’s  Omnibus Networking Technology decides on the moving vehicle that is best suited to relay messages.
In addition to messages, emails, requests for key web pages, and even video browsing can be integrated into Ambeent’s  technology.

The App’s Map feature charts out unconnected communities. It allows for users in vehicles to select messages to carry to these communities prior to their journey. It can also be used for targeting broadcast messages to any unconnected area.
In effect, Ambeent’s Omnibus Networking technology aspires to solve the “massive routing” problem that hinders the geographical penetration of networks.

Our technology does not rely on a network effect, which means communities can be digitally connected immediately.

Communication and transportation go together like a horse and carriage.
Till last century, transportation was the locomotive of communication.
Today,  communication leads the way to define smart transportation.
Tomorrow,  Ambeent offers a vision for an eternal digital information exchange over transportation.
